For trustees

Put your trust to work. We handle the institutions.

You did the hard part when you signed the trust. The rest is paperwork, at every institution, on every institution's terms. That part is ours.

What we handle

Every kind of account a trust touches.

Brokerage accounts

Retitling individual and joint accounts into the trust using the firm's own forms and trustee certification.

Bank accounts and CDs

Checking, savings and CDs, including banks that require their own certification signed in a branch.

Real estate

Deeds into the trust, and certifications for lenders and title companies at refinance or sale.

Insurance

Adding the trust to homeowners policies, and naming the trust on life policies when that is your plan.

Private company shares

Transfers of shares and SAFEs, including the company consents those usually need.

Retirement accounts

These are not retitled. Where your plan calls for it, we help update beneficiary designations instead.

What you get

One file for your trust, kept current.

  • A dashboard showing every account, its process and its status
  • Each institution's paperwork, prepared from your trust and reviewed by a lawyer
  • Signing and notarization coordinated for every trustee

Questions

What trustees ask us.

Is Six Clerks a law firm?

No. Six Clerks is a technology company. The legal work on your file is done by Enumero Law, a separate law firm led by Six Clerks co-founder Neil Peretz. Enumero represents you, under its own engagement letter, which you sign when you open your file.

Do I have to send my whole trust?

You upload it to us once so we can prepare everything accurately. Most institutions do not need the whole trust, and we send them only what they require.

Can I notarize online?

Often, yes. Some institutions accept remote online notarization and some do not. We check each one and tell you before you sign.

Which institutions do you work with?

Banks, credit unions, brokerages, insurers, title companies and private companies. If an institution has a process for trust accounts, we can work through it with you.

Can I start today?

We are opening in stages, starting with a small first group of families. Join the early access list and we will reach out as we open.

What does it cost?

Opening a file and uploading your trust are free. Each account is priced before we start work on it, and notary or other out-of-pocket costs pass through at cost.

How long does it take?

It depends on the institution. Some act within days and some take weeks. We do not promise turnaround times, but we track every packet and follow up until the institution acts.

What if I'm the successor trustee?

We prepare the certifications and supporting documents each institution needs to recognize you, and track each one until you have access.
